2-3 Graphing Linear Equations in Slope-intercept Form

CCSS:  8.EE.6

Critical Background Knowledge- Students should know how to graph points and a linear equation, and know how to find slope.

Content Objective: I can derive the equation of a line in slope-intercept form, y = mx + b and able to create graphs and tables to model the concept.

Language Objective: I can define linear equation, domain, range, axis, slope-intercept form and x and y-intercepts.

Essential Question: What patterns do we see in life where one variable impacts another variable?
