4-4B Comparing Rates

CCSS Standards- 8.EE.5, & 8.F.2

Critical Background Knowledge-  Students should know how to find rate of change and slope.

Content Objective: I can graph proportional relationships and interpret the unit rate as the slope.  I can compare two different proportional relationships given different representations.  I can describe a relationship as increasing, decreasing, linear or non-linear, from an equation, table or graph.  

Language Objective: I know the definition of rate of change, unit rate and, slope.

Essential Question:  How does everything that we have learned this year relate to functions?
