ADVANCED Breakout #2 - RESOURCES
Participants will be able to:
- differentiate assignments to accommodate all students.
- create assignments that utilize Mastery Paths to differentiate assignments.
Differentiate Due Dates - If you have students who require extended time on assignments for IEPs, absences, etc.
Assign different due dates for different students or different class periods. HINT: Assign to the exceptions first, then add a new due date and select Everyone else.
NOTE: Assignments/Quizzes with differentiated due dates will not pass back to Skyward. |
Extended Time or Additional Attempts on Quizzes
Step 1: Navigate to the quiz and select Moderate this Quiz
Step 2: Find the student's name and click the pencil icon on the far right
To select more than one student to make changes, click the box on the left and the pencil icon will appear at the bottom of the student list.
Step 3: Add additional attempts and/or extra time on every attempt. Click Save.
Extra attempts is default. You can only allow extra time on every attempt if you've checked that box on the quiz setup.
Manually unlock the quiz for the next attempt will allow a student to take a quiz after the Until date has passed.
NOTE: Assignments/Quizzes with differentiated due dates will not pass back to Skyward.

Voice Typing in Google Docs
1. Open a Google Document in Google Chrome.
2. Click Tools > Voice typing.…
3. Check that your microphone works. If it asks permission to access your microphone, click Allow.
4.When you're ready to speak, click the red microphone icon.
5. Speak clearly, at a normal volume and pace.
6. Control punctuation with your voice.
