Adding Students

For elementary, so that you have more control over your courses and your students, we think it may be easier for you to add your students to your courses, rather than having classes automatically created. 

Add Students:

  1. In your new course, click on People in the course navigation.
  2. Click the Add People button on the right hand side of the page.
  3. Select to add students by user ID: User ID.
  4. Add your list of students' usernames to the box. You can get these usernames from Skyward. You can copy and paste, or you can type the usernames in by hand:

  5. Make sure that the Student Role has been selected. Then click the blue "Next" button.
  6. If there are any mistakes with usernames, you will see the unable to find matches message and need to look into what may be incorrect with the listed usernames.
  7. If the usernames have been added correctly and are in the system, you'll see the Ready to be added button and you can complete the process by clicking the Add Users button.
