Module 07: Connecting Canvas & Google Drive
The Google Drive web service allows you to integrate Canvas with your Google Drive account. All users can authorize their Google Drive accounts for access to Google Collaborations, and students can upload an assignment from Google Drive.
Step 1: In Global Navigation, click the Account link [1], then click the Settings link [2].
Step 2: In Web Services, click the Google Drive button.
Step 3: Click the Authorize Google Drive Access button. You will be re-directed to Google to verify the authorization.
Step 4: Canvas will ask permission to view and manage the files in your Google Drive account. Click the Accept button.
Note: You may be asked to log in to your Google account before viewing this page.
Step 5: Google Drive should now be a registered service in your Canvas account.
Once your students have linked their Google Drive and Canvas accounts, they can submit files directly from Google Drive without ever leaving Canvas.
