Navigation
The front page of this class has a link to your grades in the menus. Be sure you look at your grades OFTEN, so you can see the feedback from your teacher.
This quarter class is organized into the 4 topic areas listed in the middle column of your class front page.
The first topic contains information about your instructor including your teacher's e-mail address.
The other links in the first topic show which resources you need to be successful in this class, and includes an abbreviated class syllabus. Please review the syllabus regularly. It can be your pacing guide to know how much work you can expect to do to successfully complete this class.
The second topic contains the Start Here information for this quarter class. Be sure to read it thoroughly.
The content of this class is divided into Units and is labeled as such. Work through each unit's lessons for a guide to the learning you need to accomplish.
The third topic contains indented links to the assignments, quizzes, and tests for the class. Each of these items is part of your gradebook. You need to successfully complete each item in topic three. To turn in your assignment, click on the assignment name and then, depending on the assignment type, you use a button labeled [Submit Assignment] or [UPLOAD A FILE] or [EDIT MY SUBMISSION].
You'll see descriptions of your assignments along with the content. Create and then work on your assignments on your local computer.
You turn in your academic assignments in the Topic 3 area. The fourth topic contains information about the proctored final exam. After you have completed all the coursework (class content and assignments, quizzes, and tests) the proctored final exam is the culminating experience of the class. You must take the test under the supervision of an CVHS certified proctor and you must pass the test to earn credit for this class.
Proctored Final Exam
Be sure you review what you've learned in the class before you sit down with your proctor to take the final exam.
Look over all the feedback and scores from your assignments/quizzes/tests in your class grade book. That way, you'll see the areas you were weakest in; use that insight to prepare for the final test.
Honor Code
"As a student, I agree to turn in my assignments in a timely manner, do my own work
Links to an external site., not share my work with others, and treat all students, teachers, and staff with respect."
Student Honor Code Responsibility
Student, faculty and staff integrity is essential.
Assignments, quizzes and final exams measure student performance so academic honesty is required to ensure accurate measurement.
Each student, parent and staff member has a responsibility to respect the learning process.
Prior to beginning classwork students agree to abide by the Honor Code.
Students are notified of the Honor Code:
- on the front page of the site
- here in this first link of each class
By submitting the first assignment in each class, students agree to adhere to the Honor Code.
Consequence
All violations of the honor code should have consequences appropriate to the circumstances. Staff and faculty maintain a list of the infractions. Multiple or egregious infractions merit the most severe consequences.
Similar violations merit similar consequences. Consequences may include, but are not limited to:
- Redo the assignment/exam
- Reduced grade for the assignment/exam
- Zero for the assignment/exam
- Letter of apology
- Writing a personal essay about the event after viewing resources explaining plagiarism and other forms of academic dishonesty
- Student explains offense to parent
- Teacher or other academic support personnel contacts parent
- Referral to administration for removal from class or the school
If an Honor Code violation is discovered after credit is awarded, consequences may include, but are not limited to:
- loss of credit (CVHS rescind the credit)
- removal from the school
