Google Docs Assignment
- Due Dec 17, 2018 by 11:59pm
- Points 20
- Submitting a website url
Now that you have learned how to create assignments using Google Docs and the Canvas/Google LTI, it's time to create a Docs assignment of your own and have your students complete it. You may create an assignment on any topic in any curriculum area that you will be teaching between now and our next cohort meeting. If you would like to, you may choose to create an assignment connected to the Social Studies standard you have been assigned, but any curriculum topic is acceptable.
To complete this assignment:
- Create a Google Doc assignment template in your CSDDocs "My Drive". The assignment or Assignment Description should include:
- Student instructions
- Text for the students to read
- At least one image
- A place for students to add their own information (a table, sentence frames, guided notes, etc.)
- Add an assignment to the appropriate module in one of your Canvas courses.
- Create a rubric for the assignment.
- Remember, the rubric must be attached to the assignment before you connect the Google LTI.
- Edit the assignment and connect your Google Doc assignment template from "My Drive" using the Google LTI.
- Have your students complete and submit the assignment.
- Grade the assignment in Speedgrader using the rubric you created.
- Copy the URL of the Canvas assignment and paste it below as your submission for this assignment.
Refer to the "Day 2: Google Resources" module to access instructions for creating an assignment in Google Docs.
