Let's Build a Kahoot
- Go to Kahoot.com
Links to an external site. and create an account. Accounts are free, though as of September, Kahoot does offer a school version for $12 a year for a teacher.
- Once you are signed in, click on the big Create button.
- Next choose the kind of Kahoot you want to create. We are going to start with a quiz.
- You start by naming your Kahoot, creating a brief description and applying other settings. You can add a cover image for each Kahoot as well. You can even include a YouTube video for an introduction if you like.
- You are now ready to create your questions. Here is an example. You enter your question. Select the time limit for the question. Choose to award points for the question or not. Create answers. Designate the correct answer. Save the question. You can go back and enter the question later.
- Once you have saved the first question, you can then go in a create additional questions.
- Once you have created all of your questions, click on Save. You will be presented with a screen that gives you options to Edit, Preview, Play, or Share. You can come back to these options at any time.

You can now have students play your Kahoot. On a device have them go to kahoot.it Links to an external site.. Give them the Game PIN. If you have used an introductory video, it will play while student sign into the game. If all students have devices use the classic mode. If you have limited devices play in team mode.
