Light-colored text should only be used on dark-colored backgrounds and vice-versa.
ADA Compliance and SEO Friendly Content
Non-decorative images should be labeled with appropriate captions or alternate text tags so that they are accessible to screen readers and search engines. Refer to the Accessibility & ADA Compliance page in Module 1 for more information.
Web managers should avoid presenting textual information as images or embedded PDF files. When feasible, documents such as newsletters, flyers, and event calendars should be converted into a web page. It's appropriate to upload official forms and handbooks as pdfs that can be easily downloaded and printed.
Mobile Friendly Design
All pages and elements on the website should be mobile and tablet friendly.
Review the Tablet and Mobile Compatibility [1:59] video for in Module 3 for further instructions.
