Sharing District Posts

Providing consistent, reliable and valuable content for our site visitors is a key aspect of our district web strategy.  The Office of Communications produces a constant stream of news articles Links to an external site. which highlight opportunities and achievements throughout the district.  The process outlined below allows web managers to select applicable articles from the news stream to feature on their own school’s blog feed.

dp-1.jpg  1. Click on the "District Posts" menu option on your WordPress site's Admin Dashboard
dp-2.jpg  2. A list of "Sharable District Posts" will display.  Click the "Share Blog Post" button adjacent to any of the articles you would like to display on your school's blog feed.

 3. Once a post is shared, it will appear in chronological order with the other post's on your school's blog feed.  This gives you freedom to choose where it falls in order with other blog posts you've created by adjusting the blog post publishing dates.  Only a short excerpt of the article is displayed which links back to the original district article.

 

You can just as easily remove a shared post by returning to the "Sharable District Posts" listing in the Admin Dashboard and clicking "Remove Post".
