In this activity, you will be taking the role of a marine biologist proposing an expedition to look for a new geothermal vent exosystem. You will be addressing your proposition to me, your program executive. I will get to decide whether you go on this expedition or not! To convince me to let you go on your expedition (and get full credit), you have to do the following:
1. Clearly tell me the destination you have in mind.
2. Explain why you think there might be a hydrothermal vent ecosystem in that geographical location
3. Describe some of the challenges you might have in exploring this ecosystem due to its abiotic factors
4. Explain why this location is a better choice for an expedition than any other location that might also have a hydrothermal vent ecosystem.
5. Be professional and use your best "real adult scientist" vocabulary.
This is a link to a resource you will find VERY helpful in this endeavor! (pay special notice to the puzzle piece shapes)
