Google Slides
In this module, participants learn how to utilize Google Slides to effectively present information and increase student engagement.

Google Slides
Google Slides is the presentation program that is part of Google's G Suite. Slides is an online, collaborative presentation tool in which presentations are stored in Google Drive. As you edit a Google Slides presentation, your changes are automatically saved and revisions can be tracked and even restored. Google Slides is a simplified, web-based version of Microsoft PowerPoint or Apple's Keynote. Many of the same features from PowerPoint and Keynote are also available in Google Slides, but not all of them. Learn more about what Slides does by visiting the Google Slides website:

As a quick reminder, be sure to log in to your CSDDocs account before beginning your work in Slides. Visit http://drive.google.com Links to an external site. and log in to your CSDDocs account using the following login credentials:

Google Slides Templates
Google Slides comes with some built-in templates to help you create presentations with appealing and effective design elements, however sometimes you want your presentation to have a new look or special color scheme. As you have learned, consistency in your presentation design is important. Templates give you access unique, consistent, and well-designed Slides without having to spend the time building and designing them yourself.

SlidesCarnival is one provider of presentation templates that can be used with Google Slides. On their site, you can search for fun, fancy, or professional Slides templates by category, by keyword, or even by color. Most templates are free! Finding Icons & Clipart Online
The Noun Project Links to an external site. and Flaticon Links to an external site. are great places for students to find free icons that can be downloaded and added to their Google Slides infographics. You don't need an account to use icons from either website, but students do need to cite the icon creator (this can be included at the bottom of the infographic).
You can also challenge students to make their own icons and graphics with Google Drawings. Here is a brief example of how this can be done:
