Swivl Setup

The following instructions are for setting up a C-series Swivl. For other Swivl models, please visit swivl.com for support or contact your school's Educational Technology Coach.

1. Use the included cable to connect the Swivl base to your mobile device.

2. Download the Swivl app on your mobile device. If you already have the app, make sure it is up to date.

Note: You may need to upgrade your device's operating system prior to using Swivl. Upgrades cannot be completed on district WiFi networks, so plan accordingly.

3. Turn on the Swivl base, then your iPad. Check to ensure there is a green light next to the power button. This indicates your iPad is paired with the Swivl base.

4. Open the Swivl app. If it is your first time, you will be prompted to create a Swivl.com account or login in with your Google (CSDDocs account).

5. Turn on the primary marker by holding down the power button until you see the green light. Ensure that your marker is paired with the Swivl base by checking to make sure there is a green light next to the "+" sign.

6. Push the red button on the primary marker to start recording!

7. If you'd like to record student audio, use the additional markers. Turn them on and wait until the green "paired" light is on.
