 Screenshots

Many of the assignments in this course require you to take a screenshot of your Mac to show the work you have completed. Taking screenshots is also a great way to communicate to others what you are seeing on your screen.

 

Taking a Screenshot

To take a screenshot on your mac do one of the following:

1. To take a screenshot of your entire screen, hold down Shift+Command and press 3.

2. To take a screenshot of a specific part of your screen hold down Shift+Command and press 4. This will give you a crosshair. Using the mouse, place the cross-hair where you want to start the capture then click and drag diagonally, forming a selection rectangle where you want to end. Let go of the mouse button and that part of the screen will be captured.

 

3. All screen captures go to the desktop of your Mac.
