While there are many ways to use Flipgrid (check out the Flipgrid eBook Links to an external site. for more!), two in particular lend themselves to using Flipgrid with audiences outside the classroom:

  • FlipgridAR
  • Guest Mode

Flipgrid AR

Generate QR codes for individual student videos that can be placed virtually anywhere, allowing viewers outside the classroom to view student Flipgrid videos. Click here more information.

Note: While users who use the Flipgrid app will see the video "floating" in the environment in front of them (augmented reality), those who don't use the app will still get to see the video play on their phones.

Note: FlipgridAR only works with Grids & Topics created through flipgrid.com, not through Canvas.

Guest Mode

Invite guest speakers, parents, & more to participate in a Flipgrid topic. See the PDF below for more information.
