6th Grade Social Studies- World History
Social studies class helps us learn from the past, understand the present, and prepare for the future. This year we will learn social studies skills and study the world, starting with ancient history and moving towards modern history.

Tips for students:
- While working in this course, always log in to your csddocs account in another tab. This will ensure your access to videos, Nearpods, documents, and slideshows.
- If a quiz or test has fill-in-the-blanks, short answers, or essays, please write them in a learning notebook or a google doc, not in the canvas assignment.
Tips for instruction leaders (parent/guardian):
- Use this course as a guide, or a model, of the standards 8th grade students are learning in class or on-line. As parent-led, adjust as you see fit, as long as the standards are being met.
- When grading, some assignments, quizzes and tests are accompanied by a rubric. When there is not a rubric, use your best judgement to determine if your student has mastered the material.
- There are speaking and listening standards. As there are no other students learning with your student, there are a few times they will need to have a conversation with you. Please ensure they use complete sentences and academic language.
