Lesson 2: Inference and Observation
- Artifacts can tell us a lot about the past, but not in the same way that written record can.
- Sometimes archeologist have to make a hypothesis (educated guess) about the artifacts they find, and the people that left them behind.

Two skills an archaeologist needs are:
- Observation- to thoroughly study something and notice every important detail
- Inference- a conclusion based on observation and evidence
