Lesson 2.2: Who was Leonardo da Vinci?

Leonardo da Vinci is probably the most well-known "Renaissance Man". He was a famous artist and sculptor, scientists and inventor! Even though he died before some of his ideas really worked - inventors that followed were able to build upon his ideas.

1. Open your Renaissance Digital Notebook (that you downloaded last week) in a separate tab and scroll to slide 6.  Throughout the lesson, try to add at least 5 facts in the Leonardo da Vinci box.

  • What is best known for? Why is he famous?
  • How did his achievements affect the world during the Renaissance?
  • How do his achievements still affect the world today?
