Queen Elizabeth as a young, powerful monarch over England. She refused to get married and wanted to rule the kingdom herself. England reached the height of its power during her reign as Queen! The government in her country changed greatly during and after her reign.  

1. Open your Renaissance Digital Notebook (that you downloaded last week) in a separate tab and scroll to slide 4.  Throughout the lesson, try to add at least 5 facts in the Queen Elizabeth box.

Directions: Using the provided video and reading, add at least 5 facts (bullet points) about Queen Elizabeth. The other boxes will be completed later in the week.

  • What is she best known for? Why is she famous?
  • How did her achievements affect the world during the Renaissance?
  • How do her achievements still affect the world today?
