2nd Grade Keyboarding is all about becoming familiar with the keyboard.

In second grade, keyboarding is not part of the regular curriculum, but because students will be using a computer keyboard for so much of blended learning, it will help if you become more familiar with the keyboard now. You can learn where all of the letters of the alphabet are on the keyboard and which fingers are used to type them.

After that, students could practice doing at least one lesson a week for the rest of the school year. If students finish all the lessons, they could go back and redo the lessons to increase fluency and spend extra time on the finger families that are the most challenging for them.
