Keyboard Connection Lessons

Changes are happening for 2021-22, we are now using Typing Club.  Please refer to the curriculum map for your grade for updates.  Updates will be coming shortly on this page and the rest of the Keyboarding course.  

 

Keyboarding for Kids is the primary tool to be used for follow-up keyboarding instruction in your classroom, however there are many other activities and lessons that can be used for additional follow-up or just to mix things up from time to time.

In order for follow-up activities to qualify as effective keyboarding instruction, teachers must monitor and reinforce proper keyboarding technique throughout the lesson.

Following is a collection of websites, activities, and resources to aid teachers in this follow-up instruction:

Any Keyboard Chatter lessons not completed during the initial 20 days of instruction can be used as follow-up activities. Any Keyboard Chatter lessons can be re-taught to review and improve skills. Keyboard Chatter drills, games, and activities also make great follow-up activities.

Free Online Keyboarding Activities

There are many outstanding and entertaining typing websites that can add variety to follow-up instruction. Be sure to check the following sites before sending students to them in case the links have changed or in case inappropriate advertisements have been added to the sites. If you come across a link we should remove from this list, or if you have a favorite keyboarding activity we have not included, please contact the instructor of this Canvas course so those changes can be made.
