Canva for students

Students can use Canva too!  Students have access to the same Pro features that teachers do if they sign into Canva with their csddocs.org account.   To access Canva, they can either click on Canva for Education in the Canvas course navigation or by visiting canva.com.

There are three main options for workflows when using Canva with students.  In the first option, teachers can create a document or poster to be printed or posted on Canvas for students to view or complete.  If teachers want students to create in Canva, workflows 2 and 3 allow students to edit a teacher created template or to start designing from scratch.  The slides below provide examples of each workflow.

The slides below demonstrate how to integrate Canva with Canvas.  Using Canva within Canvas is great because you can seamlessly embed templates for students, view assignment submissions, add a rubric, and grade submissions in Canvas.

Note:  If the Canva pop-up menu with the embed into page option explained in slide 1 isn't popping up for you, it is likely that Canva thinks you are a student instead of a teacher.  Please email katie.gebhardt@canyonsdistrict.org and we can get it resolved.
