There are two ways to add video to a content page. You can select the Youtube icon and conduct a search for videos you would like to use in your course. If you already know the web address for your video, you can paste it into the search field and your search will return only that video.

You can also add video by selecting the Record/Upload Media icon: . After clicking the icon, the following window will open:

If your computer has a built-in or connected camera, you can record live video to share with your students. This same feature works for announcements, discussions, assignments, comments on student assignments, and other places in your Canvas course.

You can also upload a video to a content page. We have learned that some file types and large videos don't upload well. We recommend that you upload your video to YouTube and add it to your course using the YouTube video option discussed above.
