What are LTI's and why would I want to use them in my Canvas course?
Learning Tools Interoperability (LTI's)
LTI stands for Learning Tool Interoperability, in Canvas, we refer to these as External Tools. These LTI's (or external tools) are comprised of content from education related websites and are configured in such a way that they can be easily integrated into your Canvas Course. Canvas LTI's are configured for you by the Canyons Admin Team and are ready for you to easily incorporate into your website. If you would like a new LTI to be added to the Canyons Canvas LMS, let your school Ed Tech know and we will get it configured for you!
Instructions on how to use Canvas LTI's
When editing a content page, assignment or discussion you use the rich content editor to add an LTI to your course. Click the down-tick button and choose the LTI from the list that you would like to use in your course.
