LTI: Internet Archive

Internet Archive

The Internet Archive hosts public domain video, audio, books, images and other resources. Links to any of these resources can easily be added to any course content. The Internet Archive, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, is building a digital library of Internet sites and other cultural artifacts in digital form. Like a paper library, we provide free access to researchers, historians, scholars, the print disabled, and the general public. The Internet Archive can  be found at https://archive.org/index.php Links to an external site.

In order to add the Internet Archive LTI to your course:

  1. Click on the downtick.pngbutton in the rich text editor (found when editing assignments, content pages, discussions, quizzes, and annoucements.)
  2. Next click the ia2.pngbutton.  This will allow you to browse the resources available found at the Internet Archive.
  3. Choose the resource desired (click on the preview) and this LTI will put a link onto your course directing students to the desired Internet Archive materials.

When using the Internet Archive LTI you will need to first search for your topic.

Next you will browse the resources until you find the resource you want to use with your class.

And when you click on the desired resource a simple weblink with an image will be put onto your course page for your students to use.  Below is an example of how that link will appear.
