Welcome to the Canvas Fast Track
In this course, participants will develop the needed skills and disposition for becoming an effective blended learning instructor. Participants will also demonstrate the ability to create a variety of assessments to evaluate student learning.
At the end of the course, participants will be able to make the following statements:
- I can demonstrate my ability to be an effective blended learning course designer.
- I can effectively create digital assessments to evaluate student learning.
- I can create assignments, discussions, quizzes, and rubrics using the Canvas LMS.
In addition, at the end of the course you will be able to:
- Demonstrate an ability to be an effective blended learning course designer.
- Effectively create digital assessments to evaluate student learning.
- Create assignments, discussions, quizzes, and rubrics using the Canvas LMS.
This entire course is offered online and designed to be completed at your own pace. The Canvas Fast Track is broken into two distinct courses.
- The Canvas Fast Track Basic course requires that you complete modules 1-7 and the Basic Course Completion quiz. Completion of the Canvas Fast Track Basic course is worth 1 USOE or SUU credit.
- The Canvas Fast Track Advanced course requires that you complete modules 8-14 and the Advanced Course Completion quiz. The Canvas Fast Track Advanced course can be completed even if you choose not to take the basic course. It is also worth 1 USOE or SUU credit.
- Completion of the entire Canvas Fast Track course will earn participants 2 USOE or SUU credits.
It is important to go through all of the content contained in each module and complete the required assignments. Since we are using Canvas for this course, go through the rest of the content in this module to familiarize yourself with Canvas and how to use the different features and tools.
