Canvas Cookout
Welcome to the kickoff of the 2014 school year and a unique training experience for teachers who use Canvas, the Canvas Cookout. During this training, you will select the training courses that will best fit your experience and needs as you learn about Canvas.
Beginning with Session 1, you will select a track that best matches your experiences and needs as you learn Canvas. You can choose from 3 tracks:
- Green: "I need help setting up my courses. My use of Canvas has been limited."
- Blue: "I have content from last year to import into new classes."
- Black: "I can set up a course and import content. I am ready to learn more."
For session 1, 2, and 3, you will stay in the same classroom.

Everyone in the Auditorium. Brief overview of Canvas and our plans for the day. |
Set up your courses. Depending on the level you select, you will either be setting up new courses, or importing content from last school year. |
Add course content. From creating modules to adding engaging content, this session will help you build an amazing blended learning experience for your students. |
Canvas Calendars. Regardless of your experience, we have ideas for using Calendars to communicate with students. |
Lunch for everyone. We will meet in the Cafeteria and the outdoor patio behind the school for a fantastic lunch from Iceberg Drive Inn. |
Choose your own ingredients. 9 unique classes where you can choose the concepts or tools the you need or that interest you the most. |
Everyone in the Auditorium. What's an LTI? How can it help you create course materials? Come find out how tools made just for your classes can help you and your students. |
