In-Text Citations in APA Format

For the In-Text Citations in APA Format assignment you are going to use the items you created in the References in APA Format assignment and complete 3 different types of in-text citations. You will use the 3 sources you have been using throughout the APA Plagiarism & Citing Sources module. Decide which source you would like to use for each of the 3 types of in-text citations below, but there should be 3 different sources for each of these.

1. Create an in-text citation where you are introducing the author(s) and follow with a direct quote.
2. Create an in-text citation where you include a quote without introducing the author(s).
3. Create an in-text citation where you summarize or paraphrase the work of the author(s).

All 3 of these items should be short and brief and must include the in-text citations. You will need to look up and follow the rules for in-text citations based on how you are citing your source (for example, your in-text citation will look different if you have already introduced your author versus when you include a quote without introducing the author). One each of the 3 items from the References in APA Format assignment must be included here; the order does not matter, but you must use all 3.

You will be graded on the following:

1. Introduction of authors and in-text citation 
2. Direct quote and in-text citation 
3. Summarizing or paraphrasing and in-text citation
