Nearpod Assignment

Now that you have learned how to create lessons using Nearpod and the Canvas/Nearpod LTI, it's time to create a Nearpod lesson of your own and have your students participate in it. You may create a Nearpod on any topic in any curriculum area that you will be teaching between now and our next cohort meeting. If you would like to, you may choose to create a Nearpod connected to the Social Studies standard you have been assigned, but any curriculum topic is acceptable.

To complete this assignment:

• Create a Nearpod lesson. The Nearpod should include:
  • An opening title slide
  • A second slide that includes the standard, objective, and "I can statement"
  • At least 10 slides containing a variety of content and activities:
    • open ended question, matching pairs, quiz, draw it, collaborate, poll, fill in the blanks
    • Nearpod 3D, PHET Simulation, BBC video, virtual field trip, slideshow, video, audio, Web content
• Add an assignment to the appropriate module in one of your Canvas courses.
• Edit the assignment and connect your Nearpod lesson using the Canvas/Nearpod LTI.
• Present the Nearpod lesson to your students.
  • Be sure to have the students access the Nearpod through your Canvas course.
• Grade the Nearpod assignment in Speedgrader.
• Copy the URL of the Nearpod assignment in Canvas and paste it below as your submission for this assignment.
