Module 2.4 - Projecting Your iPad

 Projecting Your iPad

Teaching from the iPad frees teachers to move around the room while delivering instruction. There are several ways to enable projecting from your iPad. See some ideas in the following table:

Many classrooms in Canyons School District are equipped with an Apple TV to allow teachers to easily project their laptops and iPads. Read the instructions below to learn how to use an Apple TV to project your iPad.

  1. Make sure your AppleTV is on. (It will have a light on in the front.) If it is off, press any button on your AppleTV remote.
  2. Connect the iPad to the wireless network. There are several wireless networks in our schools. Start with the CSD-ATV network, but if you do not see your AppleTV listed, try the other two networks listed below.
    1. Most Apple TVs have been connected to the CSD-ATV wireless network. The network password is Pr0@Learning. Do not share this password with students!
    2. Some Apple TVs have been connected to the CSD-Auth wireless network. Your district username and password (the same you use for email) are used to access this network.
    3. Some Apple TVs are still on the Canyonair wireless network. The network password is Wel2@csd.
  3. Open the Control Center on your iPad and tap AirPlay Mirroring.

4. Find the AppleTV with your room number, and connect.

5. Some Apple TVs require an on-screen code or a password to connect.

  1. If an on-screen code is required, this code will be displayed on the screen you are trying to display on.
  2. If a password is required, use the following formula:

@tv_[room]

Example: @tv_2401 (all lower case)
