Module 07: Google Doc Submissions
Below are details about submitting Google Drive files using the "File Uploads" option for assignments.
Step 1: Navigate to the desired assignment & click "Submit Assignment."
Step 2: Click the Google Doc tab.
Note: If the Google Doc tab is not available, you need to link your Google Drive account to Canvas.
Step 3: Google Drive will display a list of all allowed file types. Click the name of the file [1], then click the Submit Assignment button [2].
Your assignment is now turned in!
Advantages of submitting from Google Drive:
- Google Drive periodically saves changes you have made while typing, while Canvas does not.
- Google Drive is accessible from all Internet-connected computers.
- Students don't have to save files to school computers in order to submit assignments.
