Module 6.1 - Setting Up Your Course Schedule

 Setting Up Your Course Schedule

Your home page should contain some kind of course schedule to help guide your students. Your course schedule could include a typical daily schedule, a weekly schedule, or a list of units with approximate dates. For elementary teachers, your schedule could include links to modules or courses for each subject are you teach.
Your course schedule can look how you would like it to based on what kind of information you think your students need to know. On this page are a few example of what a homepage course schedule could look like.

LaptopDaily Schedule

Creating a typical daily schedule is recommended for elementary teachers who teach multiple subjects each day with the same group of students. See the following image for an example.

LaptopWeekly Schedule

A weekly schedule is recommended for courses that meet every day. Each new week should be added to your weekly list. This will build a long-running schedule which will serve as a course outline for your students. See the following image for an example.

Have each week link to a daily schedule that further links to any content pages, assignments, links, discussions, and/or announcements needed for class on that particular day. See the following image for an example.
