What Is BTS Arts?

The Utah State Board of Education helps fund licensed teachers who specialize in one of four art areas: visual art, music, dance, or theater. These teachers work with elementary grade level teachers to create lessons that combine the arts with subjects like language arts, science, social studies, and math.

Money for this program comes from the Utah legislature and a nonprofit called Art Works for Kids, started by Beverley Taylor Sorenson (after whom the BTS program is named).
