Tips for students:
- While working in this course, always log in to your csddocs account in another tab. This will ensure your access to videos, Nearpods, documents, and slideshows.
- If a quiz or test has fill-in-the-blanks, short answers, or essays, please write them in a learning notebook or a google doc, not in the canvas assignment.
Tips for instruction leaders (parent/guardian):
- Use this course as a guide, or a model, of the standards 8th grade students are learning in class or on-line. As parent-led, adjust as you see fit, as long as the standards are being met.
- When grading, some assignments, quizzes and tests are accompanied by a rubric. When there is not a rubric, use your best judgement to determine if your student has mastered the material.
- There are speaking and listening standards in ELA. As there are no other students learning with your student, there are a few times they will need to have a conversation with you. Please ensure they use complete sentences and academic language.
