Argumentative Writing requires you as the writer to take a stance on an issue. Are you for or against (pro or con) something, argue it! Prove your stance!
You will be asked in this assignment to make a claim for each side of the issue. You will have to state to TWO reasons as to why that's your stance.

Example:
Pro: Cheerleading is a sport because it requires teamwork and requires the same standards of training that other sports do.
Con: Cheerleading is not a sport because there are no professional competitive teams above the college level and it doesn't require the training that other sports do.
Guidelines
Claims are the first of an argumentative essay.
You will need to write a CLAIM for each side of the argument. They need to be complete sentences and should follow the protocols that have been stated in the previous videos.
Argumentative writing never uses the words I, me, or my.
