Weekly Outline: Day of the Dead
Last week you learned all about Heritage and Culture. You discovered how they affect you and I every day with elements such as clothes, food, jobs, and what we value.
This week you will be diving deep into a study of one of the biggest celebrations, Dia de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead. You will be learning about different aspects of this celebration including the history and even how Disney honored this tradition in their movie Coco.
Don't forget to open your INTERACTIVE NOTEBOOK! You will want to take notes!! (remember: it is in your Google Drive)
Learning Intentions
This week I will learn
- How Disney gathered research to honor the people of Mexico with their movie Coco by watching a short documentary
- Learn about the history and elements that make up the Day of the Dead celebration through videos and readings
