Introduction to Story Elements
You have briefly learned about a few Story Elements. This week you will focus on characterization, mood and setting. You will discover how Authors use these story elements to make their story relatable and exciting.
Learning Intentions
This week I will learn how an author portrays a character through character traits.
I will learn how an author conveys setting through mood.
Standards:
RL.6.3 Analyze in detail how a key individual, event, or idea is introduced, illustrated, and elaborated in a text
RL.6.5 Analyze how a particular sentence, paragraph, chapter, or section fits into the overall structure of a text and contributes to the development of the ideas.
