Introduction to the Module Instruction
Informative Writing will be what we are studying this week AND taking DWSBA #3!
This week you will be honing, practicing, and reveiwing your skills of informative writing.
Remember!
Informative writing is used to educate your reader on a topic.
This week you will be learning about the Medieval Time period in Europe and will write an informative response on what you learned. And then you will complete DWSBA #3, which is informative writing.
Learning Intentions
This week I will learn and practice our skills in informative writing.
Standards
W.6.2a Introduce a topic; organize ideas, concepts, and information
W.6.2b Develop the topic with relevant facts, definitions, concrete details, quotations, or other information and examples.
W.6.4 Produce clear and coherent writing in which the development, organization, and style are appropriate to task, purpose, and audience.
W.6.6 Use technology, including the Internet, to produce and publish writing as well as to interact and collaborate with others; demonstrate sufficient command of keyboarding skills.
RI.6.1 Cite textual evidence to support analysis of what the text says explicitly as well as inferences are drawn from the text.
L.6.1 a,b,e Ensure that pronouns are in the proper case, use intensive pronouns (myself, ourselves), recognize variations from standard English in their own and others' writing and speaking and identify and use strategies to improve expression in conventional language
