Welcome to Directed Studies 

Welcome to Directed Studies! This is a study skills class that is offered to students with IEPs to help them to succeed in passing their classes. As a student you are expected to use this time wisely, as you are getting credit for this class. I will assist as much as is deemed appropriate by myself and your other teachers. However, it is the your responsibility to know what is required in each of your classes. This may require you to speak or work with your other teachers one-on-one. If this class is used appropriately, it will help you to stay current and succeed in your classes.

You will also receive assignments and small lessons in the class that center on study skills, organization, and transition (college/career readiness). These will be required assignments. These assignments will take an average of 10-15 minutes of the period, which will leave the rest of the period for you to work on other course work.
