Project Background:

The Newberry County Career Center has requested that we edited a video presentation that is to be used on the school website. The video presentations are consistent with interviews from various teachers and students that attend the career center.

Your  Assignment for this project:

You will be assigned a section of a video presentation to edit into a professional video presentation that that will be combined into one larger video that provides an overview of each program of study that is offered at the career center. This project will be broken into two separate assignment grades; one for the completion of a storyboard and one of the final completed video. Your video montage will need to have the following items completed:

  • A Story board worth 100 points

 

 Please note: You will need to review the video in its entirety and decide if there are areas of the video interview that need to be removed/edited.

Storyboard

You will need to complete a storyboard by either using storyboardthat.com or by hand drawing one that has been provided with this project on the storyboard handout. Your story board must have the following parts:

  • You will create a storyboard of the department that you have been assigned that will include a rough draft of the following:

1. Panel 1: Title Screen – Worth 25 points

 Your department introduction screen for each academic major

2.Panel 2: The teacher interview – Worth 50 points

3. Your Choice: ( This could be a picture of something that would be included in this programs course content)

4. Your Choice: ( This could be information from the Department of Labor http://www.bls.gov/ooh/architecture-and-engineering/architects.htm) Links to an external site.

5.Panel 5: End Credits: Worth 10 Points

 Panel Requirements:

Please remember that each storyboard panel must have the following information listed for each panel:

  • Duration for each scene
  • A Picture of the scene
  • On screen narration if there is to be some included
  • Character’s name
  • Audio/ Music that is to be used within the particular scene

 Grading Requirements:

This assignment is worth 100 points and is a major grade; please incorporate the Principles of Design & Art, Multimedia Principles, and the multimedia video information that we has discussed in class to create a video montage that is professional and represents the career center as a professional education center.

Extra Credit:
