Introduction - Welcome to Teaching with the iPad
This course is designed to help teachers learn strategies for using their iPad for explicit instruction. The iPad functions are more than just a movie or gaming device. In seven classes, you will explore a few of the instructional uses an iPad can serve in the classroom. The iPad can be used in a vast variety of ways that can help change and improve the instruction in your classroom. This course is designed to show you how an iPad can be used as a presentation device for content, a multimedia creation device bringing the world to your finger tips, and how an iPad can become a tool for receiving immediate feedback from students while teaching the curriculum. While apps will be introduced that will help an educator turn their iPad into an educational tool while teaching in the classroom, you will also learn about tasks that can be set up for students to bring engagement into your classroom.
This is not an iPad beginners course. The assumption is that you have an iPad and know the basics of using it. This course will delve deeply into you getting the most out of your iPad as an instructional tool in the classroom.
