Module 6.1 Course Home Page

Course Homepage

Your Canvas course homepage is the main welcome page for your course. It is what students see when they first enter your course. Canyons District teachers are asked to follow a homepage style guide so that important information is easily and consistently accessible for students.

LaptopSetting Your Course Homepage

Pages in Canvas are where course content and and instruction are added. You can include text, multimedia, embedded and interactive tools, and links to files. You can even make links to other pages. Your course homepage is just one of many pages you will create in your course, and you need to designate it as the homepage. Doing so will allow it to be the first thing students see when then enter your course. Watch the following video to learn how.
